Update: The stair colour

I just spoke to Kenneth this afternoon, he said the colour of the stairs will be changed as I have addressed this to Bukit Ikhlas that many purchasers are complaining about the colour. He is suggesting gray as the replacement, the gray colour will be something like you see on the perimeter wall (pictures shown below). What say you? Any better suggestion?

Stairs connecting Court 18 & 19 to Court 26.

for my personal, the stairs is ok for me since the some of the wall are orange color and BI abit over gray and white.. hahaha

  • Anonymous says:

it looks like kindergarten stairs haha..
it can be painted dark red or maroon or maybe brownish grey as darker colour can last longer and won’t get dirty easily.
the stairs colour at the end of court 18 is preferable too.

  • Ewyong says:

Hi Sam, Yes… I agree with you about the color issue. The color stands out alot to let people know there is a stair there, but will make it look very strange. Agree to put it same color as the perimeter wall.

  • Calvin Leong says:

Hmm..I think I’m the only one who liked the stair color. I think it is nicely put considering most of the colors used are dull.

  • Chan says:

How about gray + little bit of orange. I think this can match BI colours and not so strange.

  • blackberry says:

Orange looks fine to me, brighter and livelier.

other suggestion, polka dots color within colors.

  • Elaine says:

How about a tinge of purple colour to match with grey building around ? Just look at the children playground, you will see the colours contrast beautifully in the world of cool grey…..

  • Chin2g says:

Calvin & blackberry, seems like we’re part of the minority that actually thinks orange is cool! i think it’s part of the identity of Bayan Villa as the water feature wall @ guardhouse is also orange. also serves to break up the monotony of grey & white.

as for maintenance, this orange terracotta is quite ok i think as it ages better compare to white.

    juz my 1 sen tot

The first few times I went to the site, I thought the colour ugly. But on my recent visit to the site, I found the colour is nice, like what wayloon says, BI is a bit too much grey and white. I think it takes some time to accept that colour, in a way it could last longer in terms of pleasant looking.

It is exactly like when we see girls; Some girls will turn you on when you see them in the first time, but you don’t find them special anymore after some time. And some may not surprise you with their outlook in the beginning, but the more you see and know them, the more you find they are pretty and the feeling could last longer like my brandies.

Calvin Leong, blackberry, and wayloon, Chin2g,
    I am with you.

    Anonymous,
I am okay with orange now.

    Ewyong,
I just realized that too much grey and white could look dull, now I think orange is fine. Maybe you should go to the site more often to suit yourself with the stairs’ colour, hahaa…

    Chan,
I think the orange alone is workng fine.

    Elaine,
yeah, that is a good idea too. But orange does a good job here as a contrast.

    C.C,
you have be a purchaser in order to read the protected post. If you are one, please email your unit number and name to me at sam AT bayan-villa DOT com, for verification. I will send the password to you.

I like Orange . More colors other than grey or white can trigger creativity. I would suggest BI management to allow some drawings on it too. It will definitely brighten the dull atmosphere.

  • Ryan Ho says:

The thing I find strange is the walls separating unit 15 ,17 & 19. Why some are high some are not. Like the one in the picture..is it completed already ? if that is the height someone might trip over it ..doesnt look safe.

  • kslim88 says:

Orange color is fine and lively…

  • Sam says:

    Ryan Ho,
I am fine with orange colour too, but some drawings on it are something new to me, it depends on how well the artists are.
Those are not walls, but some steps.

    kslim88,
    yes, I am with you.

  • Riyaz says:

I’m sorry to all those people that like the orange, but when looking at it very closely it does not look very good at all, it looks fine on the gate house, but where the staircase is, its just odd and tacky. I’m sure a neutral colour such as cream, grey or even maroon will be far better appreciated than having a split of owners as to whether they think its looks good or not.

  • Sam says:

    Riyaz,
this is what I had when I first noticed the colour of the stairs. But the more you see it, the more you appreciate it.

  • kin says:

Bayan villa town house concept is natural with simple modern(correct me if i`m wrong). Modern color not only grey, white and black.

If the stair colour change to maroon, grey, white, cold colour again, it feel “lifeless” and “lamp”

    orange is good trying. ^^

    sorry,
    just my 2 cents

  • neo says:

orange color only for the stairs – looks cool.

  • weihan says:

    …. orange ..cool
    how about Pink :P

  • kslim88 says:

orange looks lively & good for our eyes….

  • Sam says:

Perhaps we can have a poll on the colour selection for the stair. To my surprise, orange colour has so many supporters.

  • Ryan Ho says:

I will vote for a bright fluorescent green color if given the option.

  • almaz says:

Polka dot. Brave idea. I like. Tapi jangan cuba cuba “polka dot” the CF. Can’t wait the CF!!!

  • Sam says:

It seems like we have supporters on the current colour scheme. Then I do not see any reason why Bukit Ikhlas is going to change the colour. We will have to live with orange colour.

  • [...] Bukit Ikhlas painted the stairs from orange to gray. Frankly, I find orange is more pleasant to my eyes, what say you? You may check the previous colour here. [...]
